Practice Manager
Gaynor Walters is the practice manager and is responsible for the overall management of the practice.
She would be more than happy to meet with patients and hear your views and suggestions about any aspect of the services provided.
Reception And Administrative Staff
Our experienced and dedicated team of reception and clerical staff deal with requests and enquiries as efficiently as possible, whilst respecting patient confidentialities at all times.
Practice Nurses
Our practice nurses are available in the surgery during normal working hours offering treatment and advice on a wide range of health care issues.
Please feel free to discuss health promotion with them by making an appointment at reception.
District Nurses
Our district nursing team provide assessment of needs and appropriate skilled nursing care to the housebound.
They can be contacted at the surgery daily and are available on 01792 895770 which is supported by a telephone answering service.
Health Visitors
Our health visitors are involved in promoting health within the community. They are skilled in offering health and social advice on a wide range of health matters for children below five years.

Chronic Disease Nurse
We have a chronic disease nurse attached to the practice. Her role is to provide support to patients with the aim of improving on the managements of all long-term chronic conditions, and to avoid a crisis situation which may lead to hospital admission.

Counsellor
We have a part-time counsellor who sees patients for short-term counselling.

Chaperone
If you would like a chaperone during your consultation, when possible please ask the receptionist at the time of booking your appointment.
General Practitioner Training
We are committed to the process of training doctors to become general practitioners and we have doctors attached to the practice, usually for a period of one year, to learn under the supervision of all the partners.
The doctors attached for training are fully qualified doctors and have normally worked in hospitals for at least three years.
As part of their training you may be asked if your consultation with a training doctor can be recorded on video.
This request is optional and if you would prefer not to have your consultation recorded, or not to have an observer present, please inform the receptionist.
Zero Tolerance
Princess Street Surgery operates a zero tolerance policy.
This means that the partners will not tolerate any threatening, violent or abusive behaviour towards any member of the practice staff or other persons on the practice premises.
Patients who behave in this manner will be removed from the practice list.
Disabled Access
We provide parking spaces, wheelchair access and toilet facilities for the disabled.
A portable loop is available to assist patients with hearing difficulties.
With prior notification an interpreter can be arranged for the profoundly deaf via the support of our local health board.
If you require an interpreter to be present for a consultation, please contact the practice manager and she will make the necessary arrangements with the RNID and Swansea LHB.
